“The beauty of
the world lies in the diversity of its people and to cherish it we deserve to
know it all.”- Unknown.
There are so
many beautiful cultures, lifestyles and nationalities in this world that of
which we are not aware. Therefore, to spread the beauty of these diverse
cultures, our school decided to host an assembly highlighting three countries
from which a few of our teachers belong.
The three of
them were: Ms. Randa Singh from Lebanon, Mr. Gana Sow from Senegal, and Ms.
Cindy Lorena from Colombia. We learnt about the different cultures, traditions,
lifestyles, heritages, backgrounds and history of these countries from their
citizens.
This program was
very compelling and engaging as it was a refreshing change from our weekly
assemblies. We look forward to more sharing like this in the future.
